UX Recommendations based on user research

Reduce sign-up friction, gather information incrementally

Key research takeaway: There were several friction points in SkyMeasure sign-up process, losing potential users.

UX recommendation 1: Allow first-time SkyMeasure users to sign up for a trial with only email/password

UX recommendation 2: Allow users to buy reports with a “one time use” credit card payment

UX recommendation 3: Allow SkyMeasure users to buy reports without saving their credit card

Add flexibility

User research showed undesirable lack of flexibility was not unique to SkyMeasure and adding flexibility could boost their competitive position.

Key research takeaway: Some users work in different roles for different companies.

UX recommendation: Allow multiple profiles per user so SkyMeasure users can log in for all their roles without laborious sign-out/sign-on process.

Allow users to attach photos and additional information to reports

Key research takeaway: Users were creating reports on the job site and needed ability to include images and additional information

UX recommendation: Add functionality to SkyMeasure app to upload images, allowing users to complete reports and share with customers in a more timely fashion

Allow for more customization of reports

Key research takeaway: Users want their own branding on their customer reports.

UX recommendation: Allow users to add logos/branding and possibly layout options to reports.
